Ollie Kearney is a multi-disciplinary artist exploring experimental painting styles, screenprinting, and multi-media interactive installation. They have exhibited their work at their solo exhibition Pursuit of an Archetype, at the MoMA as part of Steve Cannon’s private collection, and the SingleFare4 show at Highline Stages; all in New York City. In Portland, OR they have exhibited their work at the Tiny Thumb Gallery, Building Five Gallery, and as part of PNCA’s 2024 BFA Thesis Exhibition. Their work examines intimacy and privacy through the lens of sexual subjects across the 1800s-1900s by abstracting sourced images from artists such as Robert Mapplethorpe and relating the material to their own queerness. Their work also deals with contemporary appropriation and the idea that nothing can be truly “original.” They received a BFA in General Fine Arts in 2024 at the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon.
